Dear Editor:

Why is it that everything the city of Aspen is involved with turns into a financial fiasco? Think about it… Burlingame, $578,000 misused funds, the ARC pool and whatever else we haven’t found out about yet.

City Council is elected to their positions. However, City Manager Steve Barwick has been involved in all of it. I have never heard so many present and former city employees use the word “hate” when talking about him. I believe it is time to start putting blame where blame belongs.

I am so frustrated by continually reading about the city’s misconduct. It is time to clean up the mess in City Hall, and the first mess to clean up is Barwick. Someone needs to sweep his butt out the door.
