ASPEN — After several days of mild temperatures and mostly clear skies, snow is back in the Aspen forecast starting Wednesday night.
The National Weather Service is predicting snow showers, lows in the 20s and accumulations of about 1 inch overnight, plus another 1 to 3 inches of new snow on Thursday. Highs in the 30s are expected Thursday, with west winds of 10 to 20 mph.
A chance of snow lingers into Thursday night, but the weather service is calling for partly sunny skies and highs in the 30s on Friday.
Mostly cloudy skies are forecast for the weekend, with a 30 percent chance of snow on Saturday and a 50 percent chance on Sunday.
