Verve clothing coming to Isis

Print Comment
ASPEN — It looks like a new women’s clothing store will hang its wares in the retail area of the Isis Theater.

Verve, a Boulder-based, midpriced sportswear company, is completing negotiations with the Isis Retail Group, which is subleasing the theater’s retail space.

The clothing company and the Isis Retail Group have come to mutually agreeable lease terms, according to City Finance Director Paul Menter. Because the city is the landlord of the building, the City Council on Monday was asked to sign off on the deal. It voted 4-0 in favor of the lease.

The council previously approved a lease agreement with the Isis Retail Group authorizing the subleasing of certain portions of the building for retail purposes. A wine bar is also under consideration for the space, as is a landscape artist, Menter said.

But what appears to be more in reach presently is Verve, founded by climbing legend Christian Griffith.

It appears that the brand is best known for its Leda pant, for yoga, Pilates, climbing, hiking or leisurewear.
