ASPEN Former Aspenite Jeremy Abbott, who finished fourth at Februarys U.S. Figure Skating National Championships, will again headline the Aspen Skating Clubs spring show.
This years program is scheduled for May 5 at the Aspen Recreation Center, with performances at 4 and 7 p.m.
Abbott will also host a silent auction to support his Boys Fund which helps offset costs for young skaters. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Aspen Skating Clubs competitors fund.
Current auction items include two round-trip tickets on Frontier Airlines, two nights at the JW Mariott Cherry Creek in Denver, two nights at the historic Broadmoor and dinner for two at the award-winning Summit, one night at the four-star Cliff House in Manitou Springs and VIP passes to Pikes Peak Country Attractions, including the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, and a bottle of wine from the Fleming- Jenkins Winery signed by Olympic champion, Peggy Fleming.
Last years silent auction raised more than $ 3,000 for the funds. For more information on the spring show, contact Teri Hooper at hoopertk@comcast.net.
