An easy choice

Print Comment
Dear Editor:

Aspen voters have a very important and (thankfully) very easy decision to make on May 8. The 2007 mayoral race will decide who will lead the community and who will forge the integrity of the area for years to come.

For years, Mick Ireland has committed himself to Aspen, Pitkin County and the health and well-being of the entire Roaring Fork Valley. While other mountain towns seem to be clawing in the dark for their identity and trying to figure out how to find a balance between a sustainable economy and a soulful existence, Aspen has become the shining example of possibility and Mick Ireland is largely to thank for that.

Mick's a problem-solver, a freethinker, an idealist and a pragmatist. Most of all, he's never been afraid to take a stand on the controversial issues and to roll up his sleeves to do the tough work on transportation, housing, environmental issues and so much more, all with respect for the need to maintain a vibrant economy. The choice is clear and easy on May 8. So make sure to get out and cast your vote.

Mick for Mayor!
