A true voice in Eagle County

Print Comment
Dear Editor:

Eagle County residents have a tremendous opportunity to improve our county government. The current special election concerning the proposed Home Rule Charter will improve representation countywide, give us Roaring Fork residents a true voice, and grants all citizens their first voice via the right to petition for a referendum or initiative (after clearing important and significant tests).

Eagle County operates with an annual budget in excess of $100 million, and is presently run by three commissioners elected at large. The proposed charter reflects the work of a bipartisan commission representing all areas of the county, and represents a real improvement for all of us.

Please be sure to vote (ballots have been mailed) and if you have any questions, please visit homerulefacts.com and see why the mayors of Avon, Vail and Eagle are all in support of this effort. Please vote!
