ASPEN Candidates in both the Aspen City Council and mayoral races will share the stage Wednesday at Squirm Night, a forum that is open to the public and will be held in the basement of City Hall.
The eight contestants for City Council will kick off the debates from 6:30-8 p.m., and the mayoral candidates will square off from 8:15-9:30 p.m. Questions for the candidates also can be e-mailed to hoop@aspendailynews.com or rcarroll@aspentimes.com.
The event will be moderated by former Aspen Mayor John Bennett, and audience members, as well as the media, will be allowed to ask questions.
Candidates for mayor are Bonnie Behrend, Mick Ireland, Tim Semrau and Torre. The City Council field includes Hassen Dagher, LJ Erspamer, Andrew Kole, Toni Kronberg, Michael O'Sullivan, Dwayne Romero, Steve Skadron and Michael Wampler.
The event is sponsored by GrassRoots Television, the Aspen Daily News and The Aspen Times. The election will be held May 8.
