Local filmmaker launches FuseMedia
Chris Macdonald, who has worked locally in the film industry for the past 17 years, launched his own Internet marketing company, FuseMedia.

The company uses streaming video over the web to market local businesses. Macdonald produces 3- to 8-minute films, developed around the products or services that make a business exceptional. The short film can be posted to the client's website to reach a worldwide audience. Films also can be e-mailed directly to receptive clients.

"With the explosive popularity of video and the Internet, I saw an opportunity to use streaming video as a cost-effective marketing tool for innovative businesses," stated Macdonald.

Macdonald's experience includes producing and editing credits on more than 25 documentaries for ABC, NBC, Outdoor Life Network and Animal Planet. He was also production director at PlumTV for two years.

The new service is primarily targeted to real estate companies and brokers to showcase luxury listings and agent profiles. FuseMedia recently partnered with Blue Tent Marketing, one of Aspen's Internet marketing companies, to expand its audience. Macdonald plans to extend his service to include video profiles for architects, interior designers, fine artists or anyone with a great product or service.
